Objectives: As friends of Africa with long professional experience in that continent and  the United Nations, we wish to enrich the awareness of the developed world and business community on potential opportunities and rich culture and resources of Africa. The site's objective is to attract foreign investment and tourism to the continent with some highlights on its sub-region.. This website was initiated by Hossein Kamali, the author of "Encounters in West Africa," a former UNIDO representative in West Africa and the Sudan, a member of the board of AFIDE, an international NGO in special consultative status with ECOSOC and observer status with UNIDO. The author hopes to continue his efforts through cooperation with the United Nations Association of San Francisco with the aim of building a true image of Africa, encouraging international partnership with the Continent towards achieving the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs).
